In fact, the State Legislature decided to add an attorneys' fee provision to the Washington Lemon Law to HELP consumers by forcing motor vehicle companies to pay all attorneys' fees for Lemon Law claims because the companies were not doing the right thing:

- They were not giving consumers their money back.
- They were not even compensating people fairly!
